Marijesia is the ninth that is always in Gernika on the eve of Christmas (from 16 to 14 December). The name given comes from the chorus of the coplas that sing for the first four days. Not only is it a well-rooted tradition in Gernika today, but it is also an identity mark in Gernika. Over the past 50 years, the group has modelically integrated the participation of women, which must be regarded as a sign of modernity for our growing society.
